Raising & Giving

RAG stands for Raising and Giving. It is the university-wide student led fundraising organisation, raising thousands of pounds each year for chosen charities.

What does the SU do to support Raising & Giving?

South Bank Students’ Union is a charity itself, so we can’t give away our money or use our resources for the sole benefit of raising funds for other charities (or anything that doesn’t directly benefit our members, LSBU students).

However, raising and giving for good causes provides lots of benefits for our members in many ways, so we support LSBU students to fundraise and volunteer to help make the world a better place, make friends and learn new skills.

We also have a RAG Team as set out in our Bye-Laws, which you are able to sign up to via the website. Every year we elect a RAG Team Chair and our current Chair is Amber Sams.
